Casa Bispo was designed by a Portuguese-African artist who hand-built the furniture, mandalas, and wall art you see throughout the house. Every piece — from the bamboo lamps to the rope-and-wood sofa built on a 1940s bed frame — was crafted on site. The result is a look that simply doesn't exist anywhere else.
Downstairs, the open-air patio features a brass outdoor shower surrounded by bamboo. Upstairs, the back terrace is a great place to start the day — quiet, peaceful and all yours. Both bedrooms open to their own outdoor space.
Walk out the front door and within three minutes you're at the Roman bridge, the morning market, or any of the 30+ restaurants in the old town. The ferry to Tavira Island and its golden beaches is a five-minute stroll. No car needed — everything is at your doorstep.

This space was one of my favorite stays of all time. It was stylish, spacious, comfortable and in the most prime location. Marcus was an amazing host. It's on a quiet street but close to everything and super close to the boat to a beautiful beach.
Great location with an easy walk to the supermarket, shops, restaurants and ferry to the beaches. It was spacious and great having outside spaces to relax in. Super comfy beds. Marcus was super helpful and always responsive.
House was gorgeous, everything you needed was thought of. Brilliant location for all bars and restaurants. Spotlessly clean and well looked after, great for a chilled out holiday.

Very unique house in the center of Tavira. Within walking distance of restaurants, cafes and attractions. Good base to explore the region. The two terraces are nice to sit, have breakfast in the morning and aperitifs in the evening.
